Adult ring (Shang ring) is a relatively new method of circumcision. It involves using a plastic inner ring which is placed over the foreskin, and the outer ring will lock the foreskin over the inner ring. The excess foreskin will be removed, and the pressure of both rings on the foreskin will cut the supply of blood to the distal part of the skin. Consequently, the skin will die.
The ring will be removed in 7-10 days after the procedure and the dead skin will separate and fall off by itself in about 4-6 weeks.

- No sutures required
- Minimum pain
- No restriction of movement and the patient will resume work soon.
- The results are more favourable with minimal regular scarring.
